Track

Experience one of the most iconic and historic tracks in North America!

As the original circuit built to host Formula 1 Grand Prix racing in the United States, Watkins Glen International features the characteristics of old-school European GP circuits -- fast and flowing with lots of elevation change.

The Glen offers a thrilling experience for members of all skill levels and for Ferraris of all types and ages! With three run groups (Red, Blue and White) there will be a place for every driver, from the most experienced track pilot to the first timer with no previous track experience.

Please note that there are special additional rules in place at Watkins Glen that concern clothing for Red/Blue drivers, age restrictions, and also convertibles without rollover protection. See the yellow highlighted sections at the bottom of this page. Also see note that no drones are permitted anywhere near the track property.

The Track will be open for four days of FCA track activities:

Optional One-day Driver's School: Monday, Sept. 17th

An exclusive opportunity for both novice and highly experienced drivers to get a head start on the track with:

  • fewer cars on the track
  • more track time
  • instructors available to everyone as needed
  • White, Blue and Red run groups to accommodate every experience level

This extra cost driver's school is for F1 registered drivers only. You must first register for F1 to be eligible to also partake in the driver's school.

And the driver's school is an essential practice opportunity for every driver who intends to compete for the Coppa GT.

Regular FCA Track Event: Tues/Wed/Thurs, Sept 18th to 20th

All F1-registered drivers are eligible to participate on the track on these 3 days. There will be White, Blue and Red FCA run groups to accommodate every experience level. Top instructors will be available to help you get acquainted with the track and to get the most from you and your car.

There are no noise restrictions at the Glen.

Garage Space at the Track

Limited Garage Space is available at the Glen for a cost of $200 per car.  This provides you with exclusive use of a garage space for all 4 days, from 8am on Monday, Sept 17 to 6pm on Thursday Sept. 20. Garage space can be reserved during registration. First come, first served, so register early!

The track event will be run in accordance with the FCA Track Event Manual. Download these documents below and study them for details of run group formats, required equipment and tech inspection.

FCA Track Event Manual (rev. January 2016)

All cars running in the driver's school on Monday or the Track event on Tues/Wed/Thurs must have completed a full Tech Inspection within 30 days before the event. You must bring the completed tech form to the event for a final equipment grid inspection at which time a tech sticker will be affixed to your car.  You cannot drive on the track without a tech sticker. There will be no full tech inspection facilities at the event. You must have your tech inspection completed before coming to the event.
